SAVANNAH, Mo. - The Andrew County Health Department has been made aware of a possible phone scam in our region. The Health Department says the scammer identifies themselves as a COVID-19 contract tracer.
The scammers asks for personal information, like your social security number. Health Department Administrator Andrew Hoffman told KXCV/KRNW that contract tracers will identify themselves and ask for a name and phone number.
If you question the call, hang up and call your local health department.
